Established in 1956, COCONUTPALM is a well-known coconut water brand and a large-scale natural plant protein beverage production base in China specializing in the deep processing of tropical fruits such as coconuts. It is one of the largest natural plant protein beverage manufacturers in China. Formerly known as Haikou Canned Food Factory, it was established in 1956 and currently employs over 4,000 workers. In the 30 years before the reform, during the planned economy era, the “Haiguan Factory” had experienced a turbulent history, with both glory and setbacks. In 1985, it reached the brink of bankruptcy. In 1986, under the leadership of the factory director Wang Guangxing, “COCONUTPALM” embarked on a unique development path through a series of reforms, forming a distinctive “COCONUTPALM” production and management model.

In September 2006, “COCONUTPALM” underwent restructuring, breaking free from the constraints of the state-owned enterprise system and becoming a private enterprise. “COCONUTPALM” stood at a new starting point, setting higher and farther-reaching strategies. With a new young leadership team, a new corporate governance structure was established, and a new management model was implemented. Under the “three new” management, “COCONUTPALM” entered a new lane of development with vigor and momentum, ready to start a new venture.
