Maxim’s Group, the largest catering group in Hong Kong, is headquartered in the Jardine House at Central, Hong Kong. It operates a wide range of cuisines in Hong Kong, including Chinese, Western, Japanese, Southeast Asian, fast food, bakery, Starbucks coffee shops, and Tong Kee Bao Dim, and provides institutional catering services to various local businesses, educational institutions, hospitals, and more. The company was founded in 1956 by the brothers Wu Shunde and Wu Zhande, who are of Cantonese descent. Dairy Farm International Holdings Limited holds a 50% stake in Maxim’s, but the decision-making authority remains with the Wu family.

Currently, Maxim’s has over 810 branches, with a workforce of more than 12,000 employees, serving over 630,000 customers daily.

Maxim’s diversified dining services also include a range of seasonal food products, including Chinese New Year cakes, Dragon Boat Festival rice dumplings, sausages, and mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which are widely popular and make excellent gifts. The quality of Maxim’s mooncakes is recognized with the “Q-Mark” quality product certificate and the internationally recognized HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) food safety certificate. They have also been honored with the “Superior Gold Award” from Monde Selection for high-quality food products. According to ACNielsen market research, Maxim’s mooncakes have been the best-selling mooncakes in Hong Kong for fourteen consecutive years (1997-2011).

Maxim’s mission is to be a “Triple-benefit Company,” benefiting employees, customers, and employers alike.

Maxim’s holiday products offer traditional Chinese festive foods, including Chinese New Year pastries, Dragon Boat Festival rice dumplings, Mid-Autumn Festival mooncakes, and various sausages. In recent years, Maxim’s has continued to innovate and produce a series of novel food products. For example, in addition to traditional double-yolk lotus seed paste and white lotus seed paste mooncakes, Maxim’s offers low-sugar mooncakes, ice skin mooncakes, and cartoon-themed mooncakes. Maxim’s mooncakes were the first mooncakes in Hong Kong to receive the “Q-Mark Quality Product” award from the Federation of Hong Kong Industries. They have also been awarded the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certificate and the ISO9001:2000 quality control certificate. According to ACNielsen market research, Maxim’s mooncakes have been the best-selling mooncakes in Hong Kong for ten consecutive years from 1998 to 2007, ensuring consumer confidence.
