TIMEGE was officially established by the professional celebrity makeup artist Mr. Tang Yi in 2014. Based on Chinese aesthetics and combined with international makeup trends, it meticulously creates customized products for Chinese faces, offers makeup techniques, and helps Chinese women to showcase their innate beauty. In 2019, it was acquired by Pechoin Group, which put the brand on the fast track of development, with sales growing exponentially in recent years.

Tang Yi’s twenty-year career in makeup is also a period of growth for Chinese makeup. He has created looks for hundreds of stars, including Zhang Ziyi, Liu Yifei, Zhao Liying, Yao Chen, and Xu Qing, and has served as a makeup consultant for international makeup brands for many years. During his more than two decades in makeup, Tang Yi, who has traveled the world and met many people, has always believed that the unique beauty of Chinese women should be expressed. He increasingly felt that Chinese women are like the begonia flowers of his childhood memories, varied and diverse. If he could use his years of experience in doing makeup for stars, perhaps he could help everyone find the most suitable makeup products and styles for themselves.
Tang Yi believes that “makeup is an expression of self, and everyone should have the ability and skill to express themselves uniquely.” Through his many years of understanding makeup and Chinese aesthetic culture, he helps each woman start from her own characteristics, explore her own unique makeup, and reveal her unique beauty.
Thus, in 2009, he began to prepare for his own makeup brand, and in 2014, “TIMEGE Timage” officially completed brand registration, marking the start of the brand’s development journey.
TIMEGE’s Chinese makeup follows Mr. Tang Yi’s original “leave space” makeup technique, simplifying the complex, eschewing unnecessary layers, highlighting the facial features of Chinese women with makeup, making the makeup serve the person, and achieving a state of “unity with the wearer.”
