Oriental Leaves
东方树叶
Oriental Leaves is a new tea beverage from Nongfu Spring, brewed with Nongfu Spring water. It features zero calories and comes in classic flavors such as black tea, green tea, jasmine tea, and oolong tea, offering a unique transparency and color. In 1610, Chinese tea crossed the oceans on East India Company ships and quickly spread across Europe. Due to its mysterious origins, it was referred to as the “magical Oriental Leaves.”
Oriental Leaves uses only tea leaves, not tea powder, and adds no flavorings, creating a pure, original tea beverage that is sugar-free and zero-calorie, offering thirst-quenching without any burden. The unique semi-transparent bottle design, developed with Nongfu Spring’s antioxidant technology, gives the tea a distinctive clarity and color.
Nongfu Spring invited Pearlfisher (a UK design company) to design the packaging for its new product “Oriental Leaves.” This series includes four flavors: black tea, green tea, jasmine tea, and oolong tea. While there is a huge market for tea beverages in China and globally, most similar products currently have similar packaging.
Nongfu Spring never uses city tap water; every drop of Nongfu Spring water has its source. Nongfu Spring believes that only good natural water sources can produce high-quality bottled drinking water. Drinking water containing natural minerals meets human needs, which artificial water cannot match. The natural concept—building factories at the source, producing at the source. Nongfu Spring insists on establishing production bases in remote, pristine mountains and forests, completing the entire production process at the water source. Every bottle of Nongfu Spring you drink has traveled a long distance from nature. Nongfu Spring occupies four high-quality natural drinking water sources—Qiandao Lake in Zhejiang, Changbai Mountain in Jilin, Danjiangkou in Hubei, and Wanlv Lake in Guangdong. The health concept—Nongfu Spring only produces naturally weakly alkaline healthy drinking water, firmly opposing the addition of any artificial minerals to the water. The World Health Organization’s “Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality” indicate that, regardless of the richness of the diet, humans need to obtain a certain proportion of minerals and trace elements from drinking water. Therefore, Nongfu Spring believes that drinking water should contain balanced, natural minerals needed by the human body and opposes adding any artificial minerals to the water.
